Program for environmental stewardship

The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association was responsible for creating the Environmental Stewardship (ESP), for kitchen cabinets, in 2006. The program aims to promote manufacturing practices that benefit the environment and communities. It establishes high standards for products and processes. This program can also help consumers find greener products. The certification process requires companies to meet five criteria.

As the leader in the kitchen cabinet manufacturing industry, the KCMA has devoted itself to promoting industry policies that benefit society and the environment. Through this program, the organization works to raise the industry's credibility by holding cabinet manufacturers accountable for their environmental performance. Cabinet manufacturers must comply with stringent standards. This includes resource management and airquality. By meeting these requirements, kitchen cabinet manufacturers are awarded the ESP Seal.

The scope of the work will be specified by your SCA, which will include how long it will take, what materials will be used, what equipment will be needed, and whether special permits will be required.

Are there any additional things I need to consider?

Yes. Make sure to check your local laws about what type of projects you can do and what conditions you have to comply with. Some states require that you get council approval before you build. How much does it cost for you to apply for building permits?

It will vary depending on where you live and how complex your project is. It could also depend on whether or not you are applying to permission to build on your existing home. It can take several months to complete the application process. Be prepared to wait until it is completed.
